Lot Tracking in Dx5: Bottling (Read Time: 4 Minutes)

Completing a bottling run creates a new Finished Product lot and depletes the Supply lots used to package it. If bottling more than one size variant in the same run — for example, a 750ml and a 375ml fill — each variant receives its own distinct lot code and is tracked separately for the rest of the run.

To complete a bottling run:

• Enter your bottling details and select the variant(s) you're bottling
• Enter or auto-generate the lot code for each variant
• Enter your final results

Each variant has its own Supply Selector table further down the page.

Note: If no lot is selected, Supplies are pulled by FIFO — the oldest lot is consumed first.

To choose specific Supply lots instead of FIFO:

• Open Select Lots on a supply
• Choose the specific lot to pull from, and save
• Repeat for each additional supply, and for each size variant's table

To attach a supply temporarily, outside a SKU's pre-defined attachments:

• Select Add Supply and select the additional supply item
• Enter the quantity needed, and select Add Supply

Note: This will not change the finished product's standard attachments going forward. Supplies added this way are FIFO only — there is no option to select specific lots for a supply that isn't already attached to the finished product.

Once all changes are made, save the bottling run. This generates a distinct lot code for each fill.
