Federal Production Report: Perform Physical Inventory at End of Each Calendar Quarter

Are you and your team taking a physical inventory at the end of each calendar quarter and recording the data on Line 17 of your Federal Production Report to stay compliant with the TTB?

The TTB requires all DSP's to take a physical inventory of all batches in production at the end of each calendar quarter per Line 17 of the Federal Production Report (F5110.40).  This includes all batches of Unfinished Spirits and Spirit Received for Redistillation be recorded for each respective Federal Reporting Category in proof gallons (see screenshot below):

It's important to note that this Line 17 on your Production Report is the only area on your Federal Reports that cannot be auto-populated by your DISTILL x 5 software.  So, you and your team will need to remember to fill in these totals every quarter.  

Dx5 Tip: Create recurring calendar invites for the end of March, June, September and December so you will remember to perform and record these physical inventories to stay compliant with the TTB.
