We’re reaching out with an important announcement regarding Whiskey Systems.
After much thoughtful consideration and the evaluation of any alternatives, we’ve made the difficult decision to retire the Whiskey Systems product at the end of 2026.
This decision was prompted by the end of support for the foundational library on which Whiskey Systems is built. Because the company behind that library will no longer maintain it, continuing to sustain – let alone improve – Whiskey Systems will become increasingly difficult and will eventually compromise performance, security, and overall user experience.
Originally introduced in 2013, Whiskey Systems became a fundamental part of FIVE x 5 when we acquired it in 2020. In the years since, we’ve been incredibly proud to support, enhance, and invest in a platform that has helped spirits operations of all sizes manage their businesses. We’re also deeply grateful for the trust and loyalty you’ve shown us in that time; knowing how vital Whiskey Systems is to your day-to-day processes was a huge factor in evaluating next steps.
We’re excited to support your continued operations with DISTILL x 5, our other distillery management software. Launched in 2011, Dx5 offers powerful features and a modern user experience while allowing us the opportunity to continue to enhance and support your use. The development roadmap for Dx5 ensures it will be a capable partner to your business for years to come.
We want to ensure you have ample time to prepare for this transition, and the information you need to do so with confidence. In the coming months we’ll be working closely with all Whiskey Systems users to plan and execute the migration to Dx5. You can expect clear communication, guidance, and personalized assistance every step of the way. If you'd like to learn more now please follow the link below.
We appreciate your partnership and championship of Whiskey Systems over the past five years, and look forward to continuing to support your business with DISTILL x 5.
Cheers!
The Fx5 Team
