Inventory: Generate Inventory Report (Read Time: 2 mins)

As of November 2019, Inventory Report generation has moved to a queue system. Read more on this update here. 

DISTILL x 5 inventory reports offer a comprehensive live look at bottled, raw material/supply, and bulk and barreled spirit inventories. In addition, backdated reports are available for bottled and raw material/supply inventories. Please note that at this time, because of backdating abilities, Dx5 cannot provide backdated inventories for bulk or barreled spirit.

Note: The best practice for inventory reports is to generate them on the first or last day of the month, and as needed. Dx5 auto-generates inventory reports when books are closed to help with quarterly bulk spirit reporting, but as books may be closed at any time this should not replace user-generated reports. Additionally, reports generated at regular intervals may be useful in reconciling with Quickbooks accounts, if desired.

To generate an inventory report:

• Navigate to Inventory / Reports
• Click the appropriate button at the top of the page to either Generate Current Report or Generate Dated Report.
• If generating a dated report, choose the appropriate date and click Generate.
• The new report will appear in the list of available inventory reports once it has been generated through the queue system. The queue system is first come, first serve - best practice dictates generating these reports as early as needed. 

Important Note: clicking the "Generate" option(s) more than once will generate more than one report and clog the reporting queue. Please only click once to generate. You will be notified when your report is ready to view.

Each report may be downloaded as an entire PDF or in sections as CSV files.
