Operations: Change Barrel Profile

The profile of any existing barrel can be changed at any time, though the requirements for doing so differs slightly between empty and filled barrels.

To change the profile of an empty barrel:

• Navigate to Operations / Storage and click the Barrels tab
• Check the selection box to the left of any barrels to be edited and click Edit at the top
• Select the barrel kind to which the listed barrels should be changed
• Update

Note: DISTILL x 5 will perform a one-to-one switch of these barrels, replacing an empty of one type with an empty of another.

To change the profile of a filled barrel:

• Navigate to Operations / Storage and click the Barrels tab
• Find the barrel to be edited, and click the hyperlinked batch name
• Click Batch Actions at the top right, then Edit
• Under Barrel Attributes, choose the Barrel Kind to which you'd like to change this barrel
• Update

Note: To change the kind of a filled barrel, inventory of the desired barrel must exist in Dx5 -- the system will deplete one barrel of that type, and replace one of the original type to keep barrel inventory up to date.
